Shifting Seasons

It’s back to school this week in our house, which means shifting schedules and adjusting to new routines. I have my bookshelf ready with the to-reads I never got to over the summer, my schedule is opened up for more clients and my type-A self has a massive to-do list all ready to conquer. 📚📝 Any other Type 🅰’ers out there?

But before we speed ahead full force into this new season, can we make sure to take some time to pause, reflect and observe the last season? Let’s make a little time to sit in stillness, take some breaths and observe where our bodies, minds and emotions have landed. We can ask ourselves questions, like if habits from last season are still serving us. If our ambitions are still our passions and make us feel ALIVE?

Based on our answers, we may want to make changes to our goals. Our vision may have shifted.

Putting this reflection into practice during times of bigger transition will help lead to a more constant practice of reflection and daily meditation.

So whether your shift in seasons right now involves back to school routines or your routine remains the same but the changing weather reminds you seasons are changing – will you take the time to pause, reflect and observe so your next season can be more in line with who you are and what you want it to be?
